A New Chapter in Heart Failure Care – For the Nurses of the Future

On June 6, SZÍVSN had the honor of participating in a truly special and inspiring event. Our president, Zsuzsanna Bernáth-Lukács, took part as a speaker in a groundbreaking training program – the first educational module designed specifically for nurses involved in the treatment of heart failure patients.

Organized under the leadership of Dr. Attila Borbély and supported by Novartis Hungary, this event marked a significant milestone in Hungarian healthcare’s ongoing effort to ensure that patient care is not only efficient but also human-centered and carried out with heart and soul.

“This training was more than just knowledge-sharing. It offered hope, painted a vision for the future, and reinforced the belief that nursing is not merely a job – it’s a calling,”– reflected President Bernáth-Lukács.

“For the dedicated professionals in the audience, this occasion may serve as a new level of professional identity and responsibility in the complex care of heart failure patients – and, ultimately, in improving their quality of life.” She continued: “I truly believe that the dreams of healthcare professionals – autonomy, authentic presence, and patient-centered care – are not unreachable goals, as long as we have enough dedication, curiosity, and faith. One of the greatest values of this training lies in the trust it instilled in the nursing community: they are not just participants in the system, but active shapers of patient pathways.”

“I’m deeply thankful for the opportunity to learn from such outstanding speakers, whose expertise, human insight, and commitment to our shared cause made this day unforgettable:

– Noémi Nyolcas

– Dr. Attila Borbély

– Dr. Róbert Sepp

– Dr. Hedvig Takács

– Dr. Balázs Sax

– Zsófia Ocsovszki, psychologist”

“I am grateful to have been present at the very first step of this journey. I believe that the greatest transformation begins not with tools, but with a shift in mindset – and that transformation began here today,”

– concluded Zsuzsanna Bernáth-Lukács.
