Like every family, every heart has a story – this is the idea at the heart of the short stories that proudly adorn the walls of the City Major Heart and Vascular Clinic of Semmelweis University, written by contemporary Hungarian authors János Lackfi, the Attila József Prize winner, and
Tamás Ijjas, Marianna Posta and Miklós Véssey. The stories are told by real heart patients and their relatives
with the intention of raising awareness of hereditary heart disease and giving hope to all those affected.
János Lackfi is an Attila József and Prima Primissima Prize-winning writer and poet. Born in Budapest in 1971. He has written seventy-six books for adults and children. He has six children and five grandchildren.
Tamás Ijjas is a poet and writer. Born in 1978 in Budapest. His books of poems. Children’s books: Bőröndapu, The World’s Shortest Tales (with János Lackfi), The World of
The Wickedest Tales of the World (with János Lackfi). His hobby is imprint theatre.
Posta Marianna is a writer, poet. Born in Debrecen in 1983, her first book of poems was published in 2006 under the title Szemhatárátkelés (Eye Crossing) by Líceum Publishing House in Eger.

is expected to be published in 2024.
Miklós Véssey is a writer and poet. Born in 1990 in Budapest. He edits fiction texts.
Since 2016 he has been published, mainly short stories and poetry. His first book is entitled Apa kezdődik
His first novel, “A father’s father”, was published in summer 2023 by Harmat publishing house. He lives and works in Budakeszi and is the father of two children.
