#GivingGivingTuesday – internationally known as #GivingTuesday – is a global movement to create a day where everything is about giving, doing good and celebrating it. The initiative was created to counteract Black Friday and Cyber Monday in America, to encourage people to look out for each other, the underprivileged and disadvantaged, and to help and bring joy to others through donations during the big shopping season. For NGOs, it is well known that the end of the year, from November to December, is a particularly strong period for donations. At the end of the year, even people who don’t pay attention during the year donate.
