I wish a Happy and Healthy New Year to all the Heart of Society coordinators and patient organisation members and to those who don’t know us yet!

We have had an active and productive year, and I thank all of you who have participated.

50 online presentations, cardiovascular screening of 1814 people, 10 technical presentations on the SIVSN at national and international conferences. 527 registrants, 304 of whom paid the membership fee. With tremendous energy and even greater faith, the largest number of patients were enrolled in Szolnok, for which special respect and thanks go to Zsuzsi Istvánné Kovács and Eva Szabó Surmanné. At the end of the year, we reached the membership number of 2000. We made many collaborations, which brought SZÍVSN to even more people. The Let’s Eat SZÍVSN nutrition course organised by Júlia Perger was a success and will continue this year with new topics. Thanks also to Viktoria Kun, who opened the doors to the media with her authoritative writing and managed our website. Respect and thanks to the everyday heroes of Szolnok: Mrs. Ferenc Burján for her love, Tamás Burján for his ideas, the Zajacz couple for their quick support, the Reunion Rock band for their SZÍVSN news, the Nagy couple for their selfless work.

There is no other patient association in our country that is run by graduates and patients, so let us be proud of our patient association and do more to make others aware of our mission and goals. Thank you for the work of the Bureau, for representing our organisation at international and national conferences.

In 2024, we should become even stronger and better known: more lectures, screenings, loans, conferences are waiting for us and 2 new coordinators will join us, Ilona Erdélyi from Ópályi and Beatrix Dérné Varga from Pécs, whom we would like to welcome.
