More and more locations across the country have launched the SZÍVSN screening campaign, as our coordinators and the population are becoming more active and health conscious, with places filling up in no time. And the results are very much showing: the programme can be a life-saver, but in the vast majority of cases, problems requiring further investigation and care have been identified by our specialists. Our programme is also unique in that our participants are not left on their own, we can refer them to the right specialist if they need one.

After questioning those presenting with high blood glucose: dietary advice, invitation to a SURSN lecture and regular blood glucose monitoring were suggested.
For those with high cholesterol, we suggested dietetic advice and later a follow-up check-up, and the contact details of the SZÍVSN gymnastics group were provided.
People with hypertension were provided with a blood pressure diary and taught the correct technique for measuring blood pressure.
For those with arrhythmia, we initiated Holter testing.
We invited all those who came for screening to the next online HEART screening and made them aware of our website www.szivsn.hu.

Conclusion
In terms of gender, the participation rate of women was 86.5% compared to 13.5% for men, therefore it is not possible to differentiate and draw conclusions among the male sex. Thus, we apply our statistics overall. In cholesterol result, it was observed that 28% had elevated lipid levels, most of which are known but untreated. It is striking to see that among the high risk factors, obesity won the first place. 65% of our employees have obesity, of which 75% are overweight, 29% obese and 17% extremely obese, so we also analysed our top ranking by age. The table illustrates that there is no significant difference by age group in either overweight, obesity or extreme obesity.
Szeged

IFI, CSN Szeged 127 persons
A total of 127 people participated in the screening, 89 women and 38 men.
Results:
16 patients had arrhythmia, a good part of them VES or arrhythmia, but one elderly lady had atrial fibrillation, she was not anticoangulated, so she was treated with prescription by our doctor on the spot. 2 cases of LBBB and 2 cases of AV block were diagnosed. They were referred for GP follow-up and specialist clinic.
- We measured cholesterol levels above 7 in 5 patients, 23 patients with suboptimal values, sent for GP check-up and blood tests after dietary advice
-12 patients with extreme obesity.
-30 patients were referred to the cardiologist on site.
-Each patient was discharged personally by myself or a graduate nurse colleague with some good advice, accompanied by a printed document (cholesterol lowering, diabetic diet, weight loss diet, advice on non-pharmacological blood pressure lowering options, smoking cessation advice, Saxenda suggestion, risks of vascular insufficiency), if all results were positive, I reminded the patient of the importance of further regular screening
- Many patients had their blood pressure just on the borderline or slightly above, were provided with a blood pressure diary and a leaflet on the correct way to measure blood pressure, advised on non-pharmacological methods of blood pressure control, and referred to their GP for a check-up with a correct blood pressure diary
-We had to reduce blood pressure on the spot with medication for two patients.
