HEALTH CARE – women’s health roundtable event attended by SZIVSN

“In 2024 it will be different to lead and be a member of a patient organisation than it was 15-20 years ago. It means something different, no longer patriarchal medicine, but thinking together. The advances in medicine, the rise in technology, the availability of useful and credible information have also made patients smarter. If we look at the international organisations, we can see that we have done a lot for patients: in education, screening, network of coordinators and in becoming internationally known. We open our events, our lectures, our screenings to all patient associations, because the woman, the mother, the grandmother is at the heart of the women’s health issue. They are the ones who accompany us throughout our lives and take care of us,” she said after the opening event organised by the Semmelweis Health Promotion Centre. The leaders of the invited companies presented their organisations and talked about what they could do to ensure that more and more people hear about this very important issue. What we can do together to provide education, screenings and credible information. The organizers are planning a coalition, the meeting was the first step to act together and support each other, first of all by building a knowledge base and opening up good practices to everyone, so that we can now work together to protect women’s health!
