A Hungarian expedition sets out to conquer the 8,848-meter Mount Everest. Szilárd Suhajda may be the first Hungarian citizen to climb the highest point on Earth without an oxygen bottle or high-altitude luggage. "I'm leaving for Nepal on March 23. According to the plans, the peak climb will take place in the middle of May, in the second half, and I want to return home in the first days of June at the latest. My long-term goal is to complete the Big Five, the five highest peaks, cleanly, i.e. without oxygen bottles and luggage, of which the 8,611-meter K2 was achieved in 2019, and the 8,516-meter Lhoce last year," announced our ambassador.
