Women with FH face true challenges across the spam of their life due to condition they have. They are often misdiagnosed or diagnosed late. Undiagnosed, 30% of them will have a heart attack by the age of 60. Once they actually have the right diagnosis, they experience difficulties in their teenage years related to appropriate treatment. Later on, they face challenging decisions related to family planning and hard choices about breastfeeding. Many often report poor or inadequate support during pregnancy. In connection with this, FH Europe organized the international webinar, in which Zsófia Bakonyi, the representative of the organization’s patient network living with FH, participated.
